With an anticipated attendance of over 6000 guests over two days and one incredible night, Queer Sphere Expo will be a celebration of pride with 85 LGBTQ2+ friendly or focused Vendors in 7 Fabulous categories covering every industry, in every colour of the rainbow. Included in our line-up will be LGBTQ2+ celebrity headliners alongside some familiar local faces.

Queer Sphere Expo’s target audience includes not just the approximately 30,000 people in the Ottawa-Gatineau LGBTQ+ Community, but also their friends, family, and allies! There is certainly an active and engaged market for the Queer Sphere Expo.

By the Numbers

Gay men and lesbians (87.5%) were more likely to be postsecondary graduates than heterosexuals (77.9%) The gay men and lesbians group had the highest mean household income in Canada. Half of all same‑sex couples in Canada were living in four of the country’s five largest census metropolitan areas: Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver, and Ottawa–Gatineau.1

Influential Consumers

Powerful influencers for trends and fashion, 79% of gay men and lesbians surveyed indicated that friends and family – both gay and straight – often seek out their advice on the purchase of certain products and services. Gay men and lesbians take an average of 3.9 pleasure trips per year; 19% plan to buy a new or used vehicle in the next 12 months; 42% plan to renovate or remodel their homes; 15% will acquire a new credit card.2
